Hi-Hium lake
The long awaited return trip to Hi-Hium lake is within a short cast of the members now. Oddly enough our members are more exceited this year for the return trip than the original trip! It is a real kick to see their faces light up as they share their own personal favorite memory of last years trip. The memebers have not shown this type of enthusiasm since the return trip to Twin Lakes for the grand tenth anniversary week. In this newsletter you will find some of the details of this years Great Get Away. So Grab a cup of coffee and read on. |

2000 Fishing Log and Diary
This year we will be having the aid of a fishing log or diary. At the end of each of our fishing adventures we will enter what flies or spoons we were using and what the rate of success was. With all our members input we can all map our stratagey for the highest percentage of success. The diet preference of the Kamloops trout can change hourly as opportunity for a easy meal presents itself. We hope we will be able to map which "hatches" the trout are feeding on at certain periods of the day. In addition to fishing information weather notes will be added to add another piece of impotant information.
The log will be in the cabin and we will encourage everyone to make entries on their return. Even the unsuccessfull attempts are important to "save" fellow anglers time wasted in a duplicate effort. This will also be something we can use from year to year as our memories are not always accurate to which fly and at what exact period of the day it was successfull. |

Mark Makes Plans To Attend in 2000
After hearing about our latest and greatest effort in the AAC's International Adventure Series, he can't wait to go. In a Phone converstation the exact dates of our trip (May26th-June 1) was requested for vacation scheduling. Mark was very interested in the details of our trip and new web site. A advantage for those who could not attend last years trip. We hope Mark can join in the fun this year as all of the members have missed his stories and dice chants. By the way Mark, do you have any cribbage chants too? |

Friday Night Steak Fry
It has been agreed in principal that the members of the AAC will have the opportunity to grill a steak to their own preference on our first night stay. With a couple of baked spuds and a green salad you will have a meal that will have no match. the steaks of choice shall be of the rib variety. Nothing but the best for the members of this club. We might even through in a pie for desert, what the hell? What better way to start off the first trip of the new millenium? And when we get done, we'll burn all the dishes! So there! Tell us we don't know how to have a good time. |
